Our client is seeking a Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Capital Projects Engineer to join our team in the industrial chemical manufacturing sector, supporting both continuous and batch processing operations. This position will focus on the execution of capital projects encompassing mechanical, civil, and structural engineering elements.
Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing or similar industrial environment leading capital projects from concept through commissioning.
- Demonstrated experience in Mechanical Integrity related to pressure vessels, piping systems, rotating equipment, and structural components.
- Ensure all engineering designs and installations comply with applicable mechanical integrity standards, codes, and company safety policies.
- Proven track record in capital project execution involving multidisciplinary engineering scopes ranging from 50k to 50 million
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with 10+ years of mechanical integrity experience in chemical manufacturing plant environment
- Knowledge of OSHA’s process safety management (29 CFR 1910) to ensure design, modification, operation, and maintenance of critical equipment meet standards
- Background with various boiler/power generation systems (steam, electric, gas)
- PMP certification or formal project management training.
