How to Build Your Dream Team

How to Build Your Dream Team

What really is a dream team? We all have our own definition of that term and it takes some time to get to the place of gathering your translation of that phrase. Growing a business and maintaining that upward growth is vital in a competitive market. Having team members that are positive assets to that growth is something each company should strive for. Here we have tips and some deliverables you should follow on how to build your dream team.

Quality Talent

When on the hunt and searching to build your dream team, hiring quality talent is major. This might sound like a no-brainer but the hiring process should never be rushed.  Sometimes finding that quality talent can be hard and time-consuming. Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist out of our Austin office, Ken Mosbergen says, “recruiters can help by supplying businesses with excellent resources that closely meet their requirements within the first batch of submissions.” This not only helps streamline and increase efficiency in the hiring process, but it also helps reduce wasting time with non-qualified candidates. If you need help finding that quality talent you so desperately need but don’t know where to start, consider a recruiting service.

As a privately held company, we’re able to be creative and flexible in our approach. We go beyond job boards, databases, and LinkedIn to return passive candidates. Our approach is agile, without extra layers to slow us down or increase your cost. We screen candidates thoroughly, engaging industry experts to vet candidates on your behalf.

What To Look For When Hiring

As you are building your dream team, hiring may need to be an aspect to consider to increase your growth. Senior Business Development Executive based out of our Austin office, Matt Meagher, looks for a few different things when he is searching for quality candidates for his clients. “I look for candidates to be engaging. If I can’t get them to be bought in on the role from the get-go I start to worry about their candidacy. So, timely responses, showing up on time, writing thank you notes, etc. is important to me. One other thing I look for is when candidates ask for ways to prep for their interviews. Those kinds of candidates get the job,” says Meagher.

Communication

Communication is key when you want to sustain your dream team. According to INC.com companies that communicate more effectively are 4.5 times more likely to retain the best employees. Keep the conversation going with your team to ensure everyone is in the loop, getting answers that they need to their concerns and questions, and remind them they are an integral part of your dream team. Did you know that 27 percent of employees who plan to leave within the first year cite feeling “disconnected” to the organization? Keep those conversations going and be transparent with your team to eliminate turnover.
