Responsibilities:
– Build new software initiatives in a SaaS environment
– Help design and implement new features of the system as microservices and serverless
– Communication skills are a must when working with the team to help design the correct solutions
– Collaborate with our Product Owner to understand requirements for product enhancements
– Translate business requirements to architect and design resilient solutions
– Collaborate with our QA team to resolve and prevent bugs
Skills and Experience:
– Excellent problem-solving and communication skills working with the team and across the company
– Designing and programming serverless solutions inside Amazon Web Services – Experience in event-driven architecture
– Coding skills in PHP, Python, and Javascript/Typescript are mandatory
– Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Development
– Working in a full-stack environment
– Experience creating and working with RESTful APIs
– Working knowledge of MySQL and an Object-Relational Mapper (ORM)
– Experience with Git, Github Actions, and Travis in a CI environment
– Knowledge of infrastructure management tools, Terraform, AWS SAM and Cloudformation
– An appreciation for the importance of testing
– Expert knowledge of software design and development across the entire SDLC – Strong desire to create defect-free software that is high quality and maintainable
– Strong analytical skills to understand the business logic of the software
– Professional and hard-working, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
– Help with the setup and maintenance of Docker images for developers and deployment
– Working remotely in a pair programming environment
Education:
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering required. M.S. a plus.
Compensation: $65/hr, Salary after conversion $130,000 – $145,000
Job Type: Six Month Contract to Hire
