Steve has over 15 years of staffing experience with expertise in recruiting, sales, delivery management, and market leadership. “I’ve had the unique opportunity to occupy a seat in each of those roles which allowed me to leverage my strengths and combine them with my industry knowledge which includes hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and developing the careers of recruiters and sales professionals,” said Van Casteren.
Steve is passionate about helping others find success in their careers and personal lives through creating a diverse and inclusive culture focused on professional and personal development.
Steve is responsible for creating a best-in-class experience for all new hires including but not limited to; attracting and recruiting talent, retaining talent through interactive training, mentorship, professional development, recruiting and sales strategy, and support. He will also be heavily focused on career and talent development for all iR team members ensuring they not only are successful in their current role but also are being trained and prepared for the next step in their careers.

The Director of Talent Development will identify and unleash the potential of current and future team members by providing exceptional leadership and creating the vision for repeatable success in areas of hiring, training, coaching, developing talent, mentorship, and creating opportunities for every member of the team at iR.
Steve will build and lead a high-performing team that ensures our company has the right people in the right roles to achieve our organization’s vision and growth objectives. He will connect strategy and goals with a forward-looking workforce plan that effectively attracts, develops, and retains exceptional, diverse team members to execute against annual plans and ensures our company has the right approach to talent development. Steve will support all team members to perform at an optimal level and develop into their full potential with a strong training, learning, development, and performance management program.
